21/10/2006 update: It seems that these places were not very legal as they have stopped working or linking to The Simpsons episodes. Anyway you can search in http://www.dailymotion.com/ and you will probably find a lot of fun stuff, trust me :).

Loosing another bit of freedom

What´s wrong with Spain?

Our "socialist" Goverment is preparing another law (article is spanish) that will reduce my freedom, my privacy. Telecomunications companys will have to keep record of every phone call made during the last 12 months. This information will include the numbers and location of caller and receiver, and the duration of the call.

I think I´ve got the right to be wherever I want and call anyone that I want, and that terrorism doesn´t justify that the Goverment is able to track people.

Another sad day for freedom lovers.

Plans to censor the Internet in Spain

In this article you can read about an attempt to give the spanish goverment the power to censor some type of international conentens that a group of experts will be able to decide in especial situations.

I´m sorry but the article is written in spanish. Anyway what is really amazing about this is that spanish govement call itself SOCIALIST. They have passed laws about gay marriage, or violence against women, that are really socialist issues, but talking about economy, youth and so on, they act the same way as rightist parties.

I think terrorists are winning the battle of freedom. Goverments cut our rights in the name of safety, and most of the people agree, but I think this is dangerous. Cameras on the streets, surveying our mail, our phone calls, all this information can help, but also can be used for bad purposses, and we must remember that are humans those who collect all this information, and you know "man is a wolf to other man."[Thomas Hobbes].
