Youth fair in Teneriffe

Last week (22-23-24 march 2007) was celebrated the Canarian Youth Fair. It took place in Teneriffe. As always I was working there. We were broadcasting a morning show (like a magazine show whose target are elder people). Anyway I was wandering throught the fair and found really interesting things.

The fair was oriented mostly on job future. There was an area of proffesional jobs like cooking, building, electricity, and so on, and a big area showing the future through a University degree centered on science and technology:

Other areas were environmental issues, sports, craftwork, NGO, political organizations and in general everything that can remotely interests a young guy. Here you are a couple of shots more:

This green bus is the one you can take to move arround the island. In Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the main city of Gran Canaria there is a kind of yellow bus (we call it GUAGUA) that moves arround the city.

The fair took place in a huge FairĀ“s Center. The dimensions of the place can be noted in the next picture. There was a basket field, a small football field, 2 tenis courts.. amazing.

Sometimes my job is sad

This last 10 days I've been working hard. A little boy only seven yeards old has disapeared in the south area of Gran Canaria, in a village called Vecindario. There have been a lot of noise in the media, and we've been doing more than 8 live broadcasts a day. I'm not going to give you any link to the news, I think is better to preserve the privacy of the family. Anyway here you are some pictures from these days.

The first two days after the disappearance we did a good Job putting the child's picture in every single television of the country, but next days we've been only seeking sensacionalism trying to find news where there aren't. This is really the worst part of the Job.

See you!!
