Life saver: If your Horizon TV Box Remote does not work

It turns out you have to pair the remote controller with the BOX itself. Nothing like that is mentioned in the instructions.

After much pain, and when I was about to call UPC for a replacement, I came across "THE ANSWER":

"..English speaking guy, who told me to first pair the remote with the box... for this we have to press the back of remote, (keyboard side,) extreme right bottom button with a symbol of two arrows as in a recycle logo...You have to press it for few seconds, until the "open lock sign button"  , next to it blinks in green for 3 times.  once it blinks, its paired with the box and then we can navigate.  """
